
Fabien Baron is a leading Creative Director and one of fashion's mostinfluential visionaries. He studied at Ecole des Arts Appliques inParis and went onto work for his father, who was a graphic artist andthe art director of several French newspapers. In 1982, Baron travelledto New York and secured a job at GQ, followed by a position as creativedirector of Barneys department store. Baron then went on to art directat other magazines including Italian Vogue, Interview, Harpers Bazaar,and Arena Homme Plus often re-designing and re-launching thepublications in a highly influential manner. In 1990 he founded Baron& Baron, an influential multi-capable advertising and designcompany based in New York that has produced award-winning advertisingcampaigns, cosmetic fragrance and liquor packaging designs, retailenvironments, logos and graphics, brand repositioning and corporateidentity programs for international clients including Balenciaga, HugoBoss, Burberry, Calvin Klein, Miu Miu, Ian Schrager Hotels, IsseyMiyake, Prada, Francois Nars, Viktor & Rolf and Madonna. Baron hasgarnered numerous awards, including those for excellence in design andphotography from the American Society of Magazine Editors and theSociety of Publication Designers. Baron's projects have won ten covetedFifi design awards, the 'Oscars' of the fragrance world, from theFragrance Foundation. He has also received a special award forinfluence in art direction from the Council of Fashion Designers ofAmerica, as well as a National Design Award finalist nomination forcommunication design by New York's Cooper Hewitt/Smithsonian NationalDesign Museum. He is also a photographer and his fashion images havefeatured in Arena Homme Plus.

Michael Amzalag and Mathias Augustyniak founded M/M (Paris) in 1992,have met at art school in Paris. Since then they have worked togetheras graphic designers and art directors on fashion, music and artprojects. Their longstanding creative clients and collaborators includefashion designers Yohji Yamamoto, Jil Sander and Jeremy Scott,musicians like Bjork, The Micronauts or Benjamin Biolay and morerecently, Madonna. M/M's work in the art world ranges from commissionsfor museums such as the Centre Georges Pompidou and the Palais de Tokyoin Paris, to collaborations and exhibitions with artists like PhilippeParreno and Pierre Huyghe, with whom they have also designed theEtienne Marcel Caf? in Paris in 2001. M/M (Paris) have developed adistinctively unexpected graphic approach, combining free forms withinstrictly controlled compositions. They view each of their projects as a"conversation" with those who commission them.
