Engadget에 현재 Apple이 멀티터치 디스플레이 기술을 차세대 big step으로 할 수도 있다는 기사가 나왔다.
예전에 TED에서 소개되었던 Jeff Han의 멀티터치 스크린의 기술. nyu에 박사과정이었던 Jeff han 의 팀을 Apple에서 통째로 특허권을 사고 전부 영입했다는 말을 들었는데... 친구
이태원(그는 컴퓨터공학 박사학위 소지자이다.)의 말로는 TED에 발표된 기술은 프로토타입이었는데, 이렇게 빨리 상품화를 시킬지는 몰랐다고 했는데... 이 기술은 현재 iPhone 에 초보적으로 적용되었다.
암튼 그 기술을 발전시킨거라면 대단하다 Apple.

Speaking of multitouch, Steven Johnson, the guy who wrote
Everything Bad is Good For You and
Emergence,
isn't normally our go-to guy for Apple rumors, but he has an
interesting theory about what the company's next big move might be. He
speculates that all these hints about new, unannounced features for
Leopard, combined with a delay in the release of new Apple Cinema
Displays, the coming launch of the iPhone, and rumors about a new
"ProTools killer" that relies on touch screens, all point toward the
introduction of new multitouch-capable displays and the rollout of
iPhone-like multitouch interfaces across Apple's product line. Yeah,
that'd be crazy, right? Jobs definitely loves having symmetry in his
product lines, so even though this seems pretty unlikely it's not
totally impossible that he'd want to bring multitouch to stuff besides
the iPhone. That said, we haven't heard a single thing about new Apple
displays sporting multitouch capabilities, so for now we'll file this
one under "wild speculation."

멋있습니다. 뭐 이런 생각 안해봤을리 만무하고, 또 시중에는 이런 비슷한 제품도 많이 나와있는 걸루 알고 있지만서도... 이렇게포장을 하니까 또 달라 보이네요. 광고를 하면서 '포장'이란 일에 가끔은 (요즘은 때때로 가끔) 회의를 느끼고 합니다.피상적이니까요.
좀 더 깊은 무언가를 찾고 싶단 마음이 들었는데, 또 이런거 보면 그 '피상적인 포장' 안에 또 다른 무언가가 또아리를 틀고 있지 않을까 하는 생각도 듭니다.
Such a nice job, huh? It looks different, I know that lots of people could have thought this idea before like everybody though. This is called 'making a look good' (some others called 'making a lying' actually). I've been feeling sorry working as an advertiser 'cause it could be a lying. And even 'SURFACE'.
I've wanted to scour something profound and grab it. Seeing this kind of such a good idea and edge something, I'm supposing that those 'SURFACE' can have SOMETHING inside.

새 애플스토어가 뉴욕 5th애비뉴에 지난 주 금요일 문을 열었다. 소호 애플 센터가 하나 있긴 했지만, 다운타운쪽에 치우친 느낌이 들고, 소호쪽 하나만으로는 관광객과 업타운쪽 소비자를 만족시키기에는 역부족인 느낌이 들었던 건 사실이다. 어퍼이스트쪽에 위치한 애플스토어는 '1년내내 24시간 개장'이라는 파격적인 정책과 스토어 입구 디자인 또한 맥큐브를 본 딴 듯한 트랜스퍼런트 글래스 스타일로서 어퍼이스트의 아이콘이 되기에 충분할 듯 하다.

New apple store open!!
Do you think it wasn't enough for only one store in NYC, Manhattan? I think so. So there will be covered for upper east side and uptown customers.And even, it is 24/365!!! They can be exposed by Apple's force for 24 hours.
Disign, the apple store's front gate, is similar to Apple mac cube computer. Or some people could say it could remind of the pyramid gate of the Louvre Museum in Paris. Whatever!! Anyway, it should be the new icon in NYC soon.
